Saturday, February 2, 2008: Celebration for students ages 12-16

This is an event on Saturday for children and youth ages 12 to 16 that your students or children might really enjoy.

WHAT: Ubuntu: A Celebration is a free all day African heritage edutainment event for the GTA’s black youth age 12-16

UBUNTU Welcome Panel: 5 minutes. Feel free to use one of the themes of the event as a guideline for your address. They are:

  • Ubuntu- We are connected/how to take this into the community
  • Learn about your past—black heritage
  • Skills for your present –impart knowledge
  • Your future- be inspired

I am absolutely available to share some insight.

WHEN: Saturday February 2nd, 2008 from 10am to 4pm

WHY: Ubuntu is a Zulu word that means humanity towards others, it also goes on to say that concept that “a person is a person through other persons.
