10 year old ANTI-BULLYING ADVOCATE Launches Toronto Coalition for Anti-Bullying at City Hall with Mayor David Miller and York University Professor

TORONTO – (Monday, November 14, 2005) – The 10-year-old author of the bestseller ‘Superheroes Don’t Have Dads’, James Valitchka, will be at City Hall with Mayor David Miller to launch the TORONTO COALITION FOR ANTI-BULLYING at City Hall when the second week of November will be declared The National Week of Bullying Awareness.

MEDIA: James will be on Toronto's CBC Metro Morning News on Monday November 14th, 2005 and on Breakfast Television on Tuesday November 15th.

FREE WRITING PROGRAM: James will also be visiting 5 Toronto Schools with his Anti-Bullying message and 6 children from each school will be given free passwords to James' on line creative writing program. This program is free for low income families and is taught by James and an Ontario certified teacher on Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m.

The online writing program, part of www.jamesvalitchka.com, allows children to join a FREE ANTI-BULLYING CHATROOM,or/and the ON LINE WRITING COURSE where they will receive writing instruction from an Ontario certified teacher, ask James questions on writing, as well as learn about his favourite books. It is free to children of low-income families.

TOP 20 & TOUR: As the youngest winner of the 2005 Top 20 Under 20 national award honouring leadership and innovation, James is a goodwill ambassador for literacy. He has visited schools across Canada encouraging children to read and write. James' Book Tour for Literacy and Safe Schools is expanding to the United States in November 2005.

QUINTE REGIONAL CHILDREN'S ASSOCIATION: On Thursday November 17, 2005 James will be speaking to over 5 local schools in two main events organized by the Quinte Regional Children's Association.
